Black Concert Folders:

Each of us is expected to get a black folder to hold the music for our concert. The Board has decided to have all of us use black folders (instead of three-ring binders) to have a more uniform look. These are often available by searching for “black choral folder.” An example with elastic cords to hold the music is available at musicfolder.com.  Please contact Margaret Hoag (margaret.hoag@gmail.com) for assistance obtaining a folder.

Concert Dress Code:   White tops, black bottoms, with a splash of color.

  • White tops can include our usual long-sleeve button front shirts, white blouses, white sweaters, et cetera. They should be white, not ivory or other off-white shades.
  • Black bottoms can include black pants, skirts (generally knee-length and longer), as well as black shoes/socks/hose and similar.
  • The color palette for this concert is “jewel-tone green, blue, and purple.” Examples are below.
  • The “splash of color” can be a tie, sash, scarf, shawl, pocket square, vest or similar items – but not the entire shirt or blouse.
  • Please no colognes or perfumes – my nose thanks you.
